A Message From Mr. Ramirez...

Our students in grades 3-5 will be taking the new Smarter Balanced Assessments in Language Arts and Math from April 7-May 15. These exams, which are based on the Common Core Standards, will be taken by using a computer. In addition, 3rd  grade is doing Performance Tasks Activities called “Fitness Challenge” and “Heatwaves”, 4th Grade is doing the activities called “Classifying Vertebrates” and “Soccer”, and 5th is doing the activities called “Cabinet Organization” and “Power of Water”.  Please assist us in making sure your child does his/her best on these important tests by completing all assigned work and studying everyday. The Testing Schedule will be sent home very soon. To find out more, please see your child’s teacher or visit the website: http://sbac.portal.airast.org

Sincerely,
