Our Back to School Night is on Tuesday, August 26th at 5:00 p.m. We will have a Pizza and Nachos sale at 4:30 p.m. This is the time where your child’s teacher will explain the academic goals and expectations for this school year. Please make every effort to attend. Dismissal on this day will be at 1:30 p.m. As a reminder, Back to School Night is NOT for parent conferences. The conferences will be later during this semester.

A Message From Mr. Ramirez...

Dear Parents:

Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer. Teachers will continue their teaching based on the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS). These standards were devised nationwide in order to bring more, meaningful instruction in every classroom. The CCSS are also designed to teach the knowledge and skills to all students to make them college and career ready. Many of the exams and quizzes, e.g. Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA), will be based on these standards. Please become familiar with the standards of your child’s grade level. For further information on the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS), please speak to your child’s teacher or visit the following website: http://ccss.lausd.net/

Reminder: The early dismissal time (1:05 p.m.) will begin on Tuesday, August 19th. Please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
