A Message From Mr. Ramirez...

Attendance is very important and we definitely want to make sure students maintain good study and working habits along with completing all homework assignments. We are working on meeting or exceeding the 95% or higher attendance rate with your help. Students with excessive absences or tardies will be referred to the District’s attendance counselor. As a reminder, students who leave early during the day will also be marked tardy and will not get full attendance credit for the whole day. As an incentive, the following Awards will also be given for Perfect Attendance: Certificate every quarter; perfect attendance Medal at the end of the school year; and a Perfect Attendance Trophy for those students who hold perfect attendance from K-5 at Morningside!

Sincerely,
Oliver H. Ramirez
Principal

Box Tops For Education

Morningside students are collecting box tops to earn money for our school. All you need to do is clip the Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating General Mills products. Please remember to send your “Box Tops for Education” box tops to school with your child.

You can also visit www.boxtops4education.com to learn more.

Donors Choose

You can visit our Morningside School's  own Donors Choose web page, and choose a project you would like to see become a reality. If you can't find a project from your child's classroom, you can share this opportunity with their teacher and encourage them to submit a classroom project. Teachers can learn more and get started with creating a project at DonorsChooseLA.org.
